IELTS

‘What is the difference between the 4-week course and 2-week course?’

While our 2-week course is a high level class which focuses on IELTS tips and strategies to maximize your chances of getting a higher score, the 4-week course puts a strong focus on English language improvement. It is more suitable to those targeting 4.5 to 5.5 bands.

‘Can I take a 1-week course?’

If you are pressed by time, and you wish a review of each skill before taking the test, a 1-week course may be suitable for you. To be eligible, you need to sit for a placement test or present a recent IELTS certificate (6 months or less) with an overall band score not less than 5.5.

‘Why do I have to take an IELTS placement test before registering for an IELTS course?’

If you haven’t taken the IELTS recently, a placement test is necessary in order for our team to determine if your level is high enough for an IELTS score, and which course would be more suitable for your level and your objectives.

‘I already took IELTS and have my band score. Do I still need to take the placement test?’

No, you do not need to take the placement test if you can provide a recent IELTS certificate (6 months or less) with an overall band score of 5.5 (4.5 for a 4-week course).

‘Why should I take General English classes before taking an IELTS course?’

Simply because IELTS is an English test, and whether you wish to take IELTS for academic, migration or work purposes, it is important to know the basics or reinforce your knowledge of the English language in order to improve your potential IELTS score.

‘Is it possible to go from a 5.5 to 7 IELTS band score in 2 weeks?’

It is not impossible, but it is very rare. Some people are very good at English but just need to learn more about what is required from them on the day of the test, while practicing a lot. For those people, the improvement may be very quick. But if your issues include weak grammar or spelling, then 2 weeks is definitely not enough to go from a 5.5 to 7.
