IELTS is a high stakes English test for study, work and migration.

 

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. It uses a nine-band scale to clearly identify levels of proficiency, from non-user (band score 1) through to expert (band score 9).

 

For you, the IELTS score is a proof of your English proficiency in general. IELTS is recognised worldwide and that’s why if you have a good IELTS score, you can use this test result as proof of your proficiency in handling English as a second language. If you want to migrate to a country where English is spoken or want to get enrolled in a college or university, IELTS test result speaks for your English Language skill.

 

An IELTS certificate is recognised as evidence of proficiency in English by more than 10,000 education and training providers worldwide. Some universities in non-English speaking countries require an IELTS score, where courses are taught in English.

 

IELTS is available at more than 1,200 locations worldwide, and there are 48 test dates a year. More than 3 Million tests were taken around the world last year.
